The Living Word Community is a group of people joined together to encourage each other in the establishment of right relationships with God, with Ourselves, with each other, and with the world. Are you a legal entity? We are legally incorporated in Pennsylvania as a non-profit religious organization. Contributions are tax-deductible. Where is your Church located? We are located on 142 N. 17th st in Philadelphia, PA. Go to our directions page to view a map and get directions to and/or from our church. What time are your services? Our Sunday services are held at 10:30 AM. What kind of services do you have? We hold our services in both English and Spanish. The teachings are translated from one language to the other, and the worship is a mix of English and Spanish songs. Are you handicap-accessible? Our Church is equipped with a handicap stair lift. Additionally, we have trained ushers who are always ready to give you a hand. Do you have parking? Yes! The Church has parking permits for Sunday services and certain church wide meetings during the week on the Ben Franklin Parkway, 17th street, and Race street. Please contact the church office for more information. What about my kids? Our church has a nursery, which is available during our worship services, as well as other meetings. We have a graded program from infants and up where your children will be taken care of by a loving and capable group of people, while you enjoy the service. What kind of music do you play? Worship at Living Word Community is a blend of musical styles, including hymns, gospel, praise, contemporary worship, etc. We also incorporate different languages to reflect the diversity of our congregation. What time are your services? Our Sunday services are held at 10:30 AM. Do I have to be a member to attend your services? No. We welcome everyone to our worship services. Do I have to raise my hands? At Living Word Community, we do not believe in a single style of worship, but in a personal relationship with The Lord. Some people do raise their hands in accordance to the scriptures, others don't. Do I have to dress up? Not really. We believe at Living Word that what is inside matters a lot more than outward appearances. You can dress casually or wear a suit; it's up to you. How can I be more involved? They are many ministries at Living Word Community. You can learn more about them from the ministries section of the website, or by contacting the church office. How do I become a member? Few times a year, we hold new member classes. These are hour long classes once a week for few weeks. During this time, the pastors and elders discuss the fundamentals on which the Church is built, and answer any question you may have about our congregation, the Bible, God, or any other topic.
