Senior Pastor - Wendell "Buck"
Pastor Wendell Sharpe, lovingly known as Pastor Buck is the Senior Pastor of
Living Word Community. He was Born and raised in Chester, Pa, and gave his
life to The Lord when God reveal Himself to him in a vision. Pastor Buck's calling
has been to bring people to Christ regardless of their culture, ethnicities,
genders, or any other differences, to be reconciled into one body. His desire is
to see Colossians 1:28 fulfilled in everyone he comes in contact with. A man
decades ahead of his time, he called the church to reconciliation long before it
became popular within the Body of Christ. Pastor Buck stands out as a leader
among church leaders within the Mid-Atlantic region.
His wife Sister Ann was called to intercession by the Lord 35 years ago, she is
the ultimate prayer warrior and leads the women’s ministry. She has been the
driving force and coordinator of LWC’s women’s retreat 18 years running.
Since they started attending Living Word Community in 1967, Pastor and sister
Sharpe have touched many lives through their ministries and hearts. They have
also raised three sons and one daughter. They have three granddaughters,
one grandson, one son-in-law, and two daughters in-law.

Pastor/Elder- John
and Marion Hoehn
Pastor John was saved at a Billy Graham crusade over 55 years ago and has
been attending Living Word ever since. He touches many lives as a substance
abuse counselor, where his love for the Lord is evident, as well as in his humble,
yet fiery teachings. His wife, Marion, is involved in the Children ministry.
Together they have three children, twelve grandchildren, and two
great-grandchildren. Elder John is a church Historian and sister Marion loves to
travel and learn about different cultures.

Pastor Ted came to Living Word thirty seven years ago when an "old" friend
shared his faith in Christ with him. Since then, he has served in various
ministries and is now an elder and pastor. He married Karen 38 years ago, and
together they have two tremendously gifted and beautiful children.
While Pastor Ted enjoys professional sports, classical music, and birdwatching
(he has seen 1,156 species in 5 continents!), Karen favorite book is Go Dog
Go! She is fluent in German, loves board/word games, works as a school and
business administrator, and is a hospitality "queen". At Living Word, Karen is
leading the Ushering and the Women ministries

went on to study theology and is now the Living Word Community youth pastor.
He also leads the Children's Ministry and serves as one of the church

As an international student looking for answers, Seema found just that at a Billy
Graham crusade in 1992. There she dedicated her life to the Lord and has
been a member of Living Word Community ever since. She is now involved in
the Women's Ministry and teaches Sunday School. She is also an adjunct
faculty member at Temple University. In her spare time she loves to read. Pastor
Dave loves the outdoors and has hiked the Grand Canyon 7 times!
and Seema Freer
Pastor Dave accepted Jesus at 15 when a friend shared the Gospel with him. He
went on to study theology and is now the Living Word Community youth pastor.

and Marilyn Dreher
Elder Bob has passed. He was a member of Living Word since 1984. He led with
a gentle spirit, over two of our homemeetings, the Worship, Dance, and Mission
Ministries. He also assisted in the Kingdom Seeker Ministry and the sound
system. He is dearly missed.
Marilyn co-labored with Bob; the two were truly a team. She is also a loving
mother to many in the church. She and Bob joined the Living Word Community
in 1984. They have had three children and 4 grandchildren. Their youngest
son, Karl, has followed in Bob's footsteps in worship ministry and is now the
worship leader at LWC. Marilyn had a long and successful career working in the
Philadelphia Public school system. As everyone’s favorite counselor, she has
discipled many young women within the church. Marilyn is also an avid gardener.

Deacon/Church maintenance-Efrain
and Eva Posada
Born in Columbia, Efrain has been attending Living Word Community since
1981, after being saved through the testimony of his cousin. He always serves
from his heart, as an evangelist, homemeeting leader and in maintenance.
Efrain lives a life of service, both inside and outside of the church. Playful, yet
genuine and kind, Efrain is a part of the Living Word Leadership team. He also
loves spending time with his wife Eva, their three children, and their grandson.
