About Us Thank you for visiting the website of The Living Word Community church. Our Church was built over 80 years ago as the Apostolic Church in East Lansdowne, PA and moved to its present location in center city Philadelphia, PA since 1955. By Community, we mean that we have a commitment to one another and we agree to love and accept each other in spite of personal and doctrinal differences. This involves serving one another in practical demonstration of love and concern. Vision Statement Through the grace and strength of Jesus Christ, to be a multicultural and multiracial church overcoming all economic and social barriers, demonstrating the Kingdom of God on earth, and reaching out in the love of God and in the power of the Holy Spirit.
